Girlonza graduated from greenbrier east in 1977. He attended Concord College on a football scholarship until 1983. After college he worked as the lead crew chief on an oil exploration crew where they traveled the globe in search of oil and gas, (Hydrocarbons).
After retiring from the oil fields they traveled to the outer banks of North Carolina where Girlonza and his wife Jane started a successful restaurant and worked the real-estate industry on Hatteras Island.
They returned to West Virginia and started Old Spruce Realty at Snowshoe where they managed and rented homes and condos as well as the real estate sales department and started three housing developments. Girlonza is also a General Contractor and a licensed auctioneer in Virginia and West Virginia.
Girlonza and his wife Jane now reside in Lewisburg in their newest development Twin Oaks with their two sons and work at the Old Spruce Realty in Lewisburg.
